The Name.
Away magazine focuses on spotlighting the overlooked towns in the world brimming with character and beauty. We aim to dive into the heart of local festivities that are unheard of, embrace cultural traditions, and experience travel in its purest form for all those avid travelers out there.
It’s all about being whisked away to the quaint cities and towns and
exploring beyond the known.
Why a Travel Magazine?
Travel magazines serve as invaluable resources for individuals seeking inspiration and guidance for their upcoming vacations. These publications offer a multifaceted approach to travel planning, presenting readers with vivid imagery of breathtaking destinations alongside practical advice and insider knowledge.

My Thought Process.
Through this project, I wanted to preserve the essence of travel magazines and showcase all that the world has to offer. Beautiful photographs, travelers' memories and mouth-watering delicacies of cultures is what I aimed to bring through the pages of my magazine.
The gratification derived from reading a print magazine is incomparable to that of digital publications. Through Away, my objective is to provide readers with a unique perspective on the world.

After noticing that majority of the current travel and tourism magazines focus on the most frequently visited places, I began ideating content for my proposed magazine brand.
Away would focus on promoting local culture, diverse cuisines and traditions, trip planning tips and tricks, as well as what other travelers and tourists have to say about discovering new spots.
What does Away offer?
The perspective that suggests information search can be a pleasurable leisure experience in itself.
The Hedonic Perspective.
The perspective views information as a stimulus for visual thinking, imagery, and envisioning of a place that is real and obtainable.
The Aesthetic Perspective.
We travel not to escape life, but for life to not escape us.
